Next batch of honey ready for extraction

Here we were again with our second batch of honey to be extracted.

This time, David took the uncapping role and I was spinning the honey.  So, he had the sticky job.

We noticed that some of the honey in the garden was quite dark and more granulated so we separated out 6 frames that had come from colony 5 and decided to make them into one lot of honey and the main lot, comprising 12 frames from colony 4 and 11 from colony 5, would make up the main lot - it being much lighter and seeming to be of a different nature.

At the end of the process, we have two settling tanks, one with 42lbs and the other with 11lbs.  And ... I've got honey in the honey pot that Marian gave me - our breakfast table has quite a variety now!
